Status Report #11: 10th of August, 2025

Have a rare image of Amalia's form. Representing herself in various games and programs is a hobby of hers.

Good morning, gentles and ladiemen!

Michael here, and 'tis time for the Captain to make yet another Status Report! And i bring you good news, today! News about our....

Musical endeavours

You see, we've been hyper-busy these past couple of weeks finishing up our next tune, and getting preparations done for it's release.

So now, here in this post, i can announce that.....

.... is releasing on the 22nd of August, '25!

It took us a while since Electric Boogaloo, and we went into why when we wrote the Production Report on it, but in short, we shifted around a bunch of things in terms of how we release and market our music, and that took some time to get established.

But now, it IS established, all the materials are uploaded and scheduled for release, and aside from the usual minor little things we have to take care of on release day, our work is done with this one!

Hopefully you'll enjoy it! We've got a bit of a weird relationship with this tune, where we always seem to adopt a mindset of "Eh, it's good, but we've made better", until we hear it again and go "Oh wait, this tune is awesome, actually!". 🤷

Also, yes, that's our new font we told you about on the cover. Expect to see a lot of that, going forward. 😉

But yeah, we'll probably have a couple of days off in terms of making music, then get working on our next project. The foundation's already laid, actually, but we haven't really gotten into working on it in earnest, yet.

Also got a number of blog posts in the pipeline that we oughta get around to writing/finishing. 😜

But yeah, that'll be all for this part of the Blog. Now, let's talk about...

Not-So-Musical stuff

Okay, so we finished being possessed by Gates of Hell. As in, we finished the dynamic campaign we were playing.

Gonna be blunt: This is definitively our favourite WW2 game, now. In fact, we wanted to write a blog post about it, but the thing is, we really can't, yet. We may have 30 hours in this game now, but under the bottom line, we've only played a single dynamic campaign as Germany vs. the U.S., and we did exactly 1 mission in the soviet story campaign. Even though we adore the heck out of it, we just don't feel like we've seen enough of the game to really write an in-depth piece about it. But yeah, we'll be taking a break from it for a while to get on with other games.

Ironically, after finishing our German campaign, we've moved on the Wolfenstein: The New Order. I guess we're atoning?😶

Though yeah, Wolfenstein *is* getting a blog post. It surprised us by starting out a bit meh, but then as it went on, it just gave us a better and better impression, and when we ended up on the friggin' Nazi moon base like it's Iron Sky, Amalia just about immediately felt inspired to write about the game.

Other'n that, we recently finished reading another 40k book; "Krieg" by Steve Lyons. Quite enjoyed it. It tells both a 41st-millennium narrative involving Kriegers, and also goes into the origins of how the Death Korps came about.

In fact, we're playing with the idea of maybe doing book reports, either as blog posts or possibly shortform videos.

'side from that, just before our song releases, we have one of those doctor's appointments that'll hopefully just end in a "Oh, that's nothing serious, take these pills for a week and it'll go away", but makes you anxious because it *could* turn out to be much, much worse than that. So by the next report, we'll either be feeling pretty darn relieved, or really crushed. 😕

Well, at least it'll be out of the way by then. And yeah, that'll be it from us, this week!

By the next Status report, our tune will be freshly released, so we'll likely talk about that!

But until then, do have a lovely couple of weeks!🙂
