Musical/Blog stuff!

Well, Thunder Stag just came out on friday, and so far, it's performance on release has been.....

Well, let's say it's good to be reminded sometimes that we make music because we enjoy it, not because we're chasing big numbers. Anything else would just be a bit depressing. 😜

But shilling aside, we got to work on our next tune a few days back, and had a brilliant time, laughing our butt off while recording some of the lyrics. It'll be an..... "exotic" tune. Shan't say more for now. 😉

As for our blog here, you can expect a big new video game post to hit very soon indeed! Also, just yesterday we started playing a new (or actually, very old) game that influenced Michael's childhood in a big way, so that'll definitely be something he'll want to write about. But y'know, we'll have to finish it first.

So, that's about it for that side of things. Now, onto the...

Stuff that ain't about music or blogs!

Well, good news all around, here. First off, we had that doctor's visit we mentioned a while back and were assured that everything's A-ok, nothing to worry about. 👍

Also, we recently started getting back into VR games a bit. Specifically things like Synth Riders and Pistol Whip, as a fun way to work out. We had put our headset aside for a good while, but yeah, it's nice to pull it out every now and then and just remember that we do in fact have the technology to pretty much just..... enter a game. Complete with finger tracking and stuff.

Aside from that, we're finally looking to upgrade our smartphone. Because what we've got right now is absolute rubbish. It's a mega-cheapo android phone Michael bought years back (before i even existed!) for 80 eurobucks, and well, it's performance is just what you'd expect.
It doesn't even manage the basic smartphone stuff anymore, like displaying our train ticket (doesn't display the app correctly, cutting off some of the QR code) or connecting to parcel-pickup points via bluetooth. It also eats it's own battery, sometimes within a few hours, other times in literally 30 minutes while idle.

Oh, and the main camera is an 8MP atrocity.
So this black friday/cyber monday season, we're looking to upgrade to something in the ~300-400 Euro range.

We definitely don't need a premium phone, because we barely use the things if we don't have to, but something that works would be nice.
And something that we can leave turned on for a while without it just completely draining it's battery.

Also, if we can get something with a half-decent camera for that price range, then that would also open some new possibilities for us in terms of content creation. We've been lacking a useable camera for the longest time, now.

But yeah, i figure that'll do for our report. Hoping you had a good couple of weeks, too! And look forward to that big video game post coming up. Have a good one! 😉

... is what we'd recommend you do with this game.   Heya, Michael here.   So, a little while back, we found that the original Jet Set Radio was on Steam.   This was quite the thing for us to learn you see, because JSR is one of those games we've often heard about, but had never had a chance to actually play.   A shame, because it's got a much vaunted soundtrack, and unsurprisingly for a musician, we're are a bit of a connoisseur when it comes to games with good soundtracks!   But yeah, we learned it had been on Steam for years, and was actually gonna get taken off the store, soon (it has been, by now).   So needless to say, we bought it while we could, and jumped right into it, having an absolute.....   .....ly awful time with the gameplay.   Yeah, sorry if you're a big fan of JSR, but you've gotta face it, man, it's the nostalgia doing it for ya. Our music listening habits

    Greetelings everyone, Amalia here.    So, we figured that, seeing as we're a musician of.... indeterminate genre, some of you might (hopefully) be interested in what sort of music we actually listen to, and our general habits with that.   Now, you'd perhaps think that someone who makes music themselves would probably listen to tunes 24/7 and live and breathe music, but that's actually quite far from the reality, here.   See, we don't actually listen to music all that much in life, in the grand scheme of things. Typically, in the mornings, we prefer the quiet, enjoying some peaceful time for contemplation and meditation.   Our workplace is an industrial firm, but unlike many such places, the higher-ups don't want radios playing around the shop floors. Seems daft to us, since it's known to increase productivity in those kinds of settings. But alas.   Now, when we get home in the evenings, that's our prime time for music listening. When we're get...

Our visit to Thomann, 13th of June '25

  Howdy folks!   So last month, we visited Thomann! Again!  It was our second time around. We didn't have a blog to write about it last time. But this time we do, so we shall tell you a little about our visit and the stuff we brought home with us! 😀    Well, to get us started, if you don't know, Thomann is a musical instrument and equipment vendor. One of the biggest, actually. They're mainly known for their online store , which has a rather chunky selection of various bits and bobs, from really fancy guitars and PA systems to little curios like this .  And no, this blog post isn't sponsored or anything.
