Greetings there, fellow jets! We too are a jet. May we join you?
Hello hello there, friends and readers! It's already been a couple of weeks, and so it's time for another Status Report!
It's Amalia here with you today, and i'll start by telling you all about our....
Musical stuff!
And it's good news! Filetattura di Scarto is done! Here's the cover!

We're now in the marketing stage, prepare a few release materials in order to give it the best possible chance of getting more than 3 listeners. Basically, we'll put out some shorts to support the release.
The release date is looking like the 21st of November, though it's not quite set in stone, yet. We'll also be taking this one to SubmitHub.
We usually do really awfully on there, because well, it's both a very competitive place, and also a place where the curators are sort of bound to accept more genre-conforming music (You know, the opposite of what we do). However, with this tune, we're feeling sort of optimistic about our chances. It's fairly straightforward Jazz, and we feel it's pretty decent work for a hobbyist. So hey, we'll see.
It'll probably crush our hopes and dreams yet again, but alas, such is life when hopping on SubmitHub. 😉
One thing we need is something to write about for our blog, here.
We like writing, and we wanna do more of it, but right now, we seem to be stuck writing these biweekly updates and putting entries into our Production Report for Filetattura di Scarto. We've not been playing any games that really inspire us to write about 'em, and generally have been fairly busy. Should try and get around to it, though. We quite like having a blog, so why not write some stuff for it, eh?
So then, speaking of more writing, what about the....
Not-so-musical-stuff?
Well, some fun stuff to talk about, here.
First off, as you can tell by the picture above, we're still very much into the F-16 in DCS. Here, have a couple more:

Who needs the A-10, anyway?

Yeah, this ain't gonna end well.
Also, in terms of more casual simulators, Farming Sim '25 is getting it's Highland Fishing expansion, with a Scotland map and new fish-based gameplay on Tuesday. Now, you can call us a dork if you like, but we're EXTREMELY eager to get back into that one.
Aside from DCS, we've mainly been playing Mechwarrior 5, and while it's a pretty good game, we're getting a little fatigued with it.
So a breath of fresh, manure-infused country air is just the thing! And we'll get the Mercedes Benz DLC too, so we can drive a Unimog. One of Michael's earliest memories actually involves riding in the back of a local farmer's Unimog, so that's a special one for us.
Also, being from an actual German countryside town with a big sugar refinery in it, we've been seeing -a lot- of field work, and tractors with tippers full of sugar beets this harvest season.
So that might also be inspiring us a bit.
Anywho, we also managed to finish our Starsky and Hutch boxset a little while ago. So we switched to MacGyver, which is great for it's variety. You never know what the next episode will be about.
In fact, we seem to like it a lot, because we practically inhaled the first season already.
Watching MacGyver also inspired us to look at another show, one that's actually from Michael's Childhood:
Stargate SG-1. Because it's got Richard Dean Anderson, who also played MacGyver. Actually, we didn't know that at first, so when we first watched MacGyver, Michael remembered Stargate from his childhood and went "Wait, is that.... is that him? Is it?"
So yeah, we now ordered a boxset of that, too. AND Monty Python's Flying Circus, because Michael figured that if he's getting to order a full box-set of a show, i should get to pick one, too. 😛
Oh, we also started reading a new Warhammer book, after sticking with the F-16 manual for a while. We're now reading "The purging of Kadillus" by Gav Thorpe. Good read so far. Dark Angels fighting da Orky boyz! We'z gunna see whoo's da bestest at bein' zoggin' green!
..... ehrm. Yes. We like 40k Orks. Everyone does, right?
Hm. Maybe something Warhammer-related could make for a good blog post. 🤔
Anyway. For those of you wondering about that serious announcement from last time: We're doing okay, thanks. We've had some time to digest the news, and ultimately, not too much has changed in our life, since there was already some distance between Michael and his father. So we've largely returned to our usual, upbeat selves, aside from the occasional wandering of thoughts.
There's also not many developments. The funeral is on the 15th, and there's been no official letters yet regarding the legalities of inheritance and the like. So that situation is more or less on pause.
Though, if you were wondering, thank you for that!
So, that about covers things for this fortnight. Until next time, stay safe, look out of those low-flying F-16s and have a good one!
