The goodest of mornings to you, folks!
Amalia here, and it's time for another bi-weekly report. And it's been an interesting two weeks, so let's start with our...
Active projects!
Yep, not calling it "musical stuff" anymore, because we always lump in news about this blog. 😉
Anyway, it's good news for Filettatura di Scarto! Our Submithub campaign met with some actual success, and so far, two curators have approved it! (Visual Atelier 8 and Radio Armazem)
And yeah, generally the tune is ready for release on Friday, the 21st of November. Do look forward to it, we figure this is probably our best work yet! 😉
Also, as for those blog news: Last time we mentioned that we were looking for an inspiration for something to write about, and we've found it!
See, there's currently a Steam sale themed around animals, and we indeed got a few DLCs for a certain game during that sale. A game that's all about animals and creativity. So gaming, creativity and animals (which we also like!) in one set. Sounds like a good recipe for say, a recurring series? Perhaps an occasional video, even? Eh?
Heh, well, just watch this space. Gotta finish up something else before we get started, but there should be something popping up in the next couple of weeks. 🐼
And now for some....
General Ramblings!
Whew, what a fancy new name for this part!
But yeah, so, first of, i've gotta say, yesterday was quite the day.
See, we travelled to another State (Hesse) for the funeral of Michael's father. Now, we rode over there with a friend who also attended, and it was a.... "good" funeral, for lack of a better word.
Good as in, it was dignified, emotional and a good opportunity to say a final, proper goodbye. It was proper, is what i mean.
The journey home though? Oh dear, where do i start.
So it started raining quite a bit as we were going down the highway towards Frankfurt. To the point where behind us at one point, a BMW X5 wanted to get in the fast lane to overtake, lost control, and spun wildly. Like watching dashcam footage, but it's happening right there the rear view mirror! The car did a few pirouettes and ended up bumping into the crash barrier.
We wanted to stop of course, but well, the BMW just kinda kept driving, taking the next off-ramp. So uh..... yeah.🤷
Then, there was a bigger accident a few kilometers ahead of us, with emergency vehicles blaring past and traffic getting a bit slow for a few minutes until we passed the crash site (Didn't look too bad, two cars involved, both largely in one piece, hopefully no major injuries.)
Well, we eventually got to Frankfurt airport where our buddy dropped us off at the ICE train terminal (he had other arrangements).
...... unfortunately the drop off point was a bit bad and we kinda strayed through some distinctly employee-only looking areas until we found an actual entrance for the public.
As usual, being in a big city full of big-city people reminded us that we are, in fact, a total country bumpkin, despite our musical work and our blogging and what have you.😜

But yeah, eventually we got home, travelling the final leg on an incredibly overstuffed bus where we thankfully got on early and managed to get a seat. After that, we just kinda took the rest of the day off. Been quite exciting.
But beyond just yesterday, what have we been up to? Well, some of this!
So yeah, getting better with the F-16! She's a real blast. Not very challenging as an aircraft (stupidly easy to pull of mad stunts, actually), but she's super-in depth with systems like sensors, weapons and defences. Gonna eventually get back in with the Hind too, though. We do need our Whirlybird fix, and the mechanical cold-war beast from the east should be a nice contrast to the viper.
On a much more casual note, Farming sim '25 got it's Highland Fishin' expansion and we've started a new game on the new map.
Enjoying it so far, though we kinda have to agree with people that the expansion itself is seriously overpriced for what you get.
Buuut we haven't played a good game of Farming Sim in a while, meaning that for us the whole game feels fresh, so it's perfectly fine.
...... and no, that's not the animal-related game we'll make a blog series about. Though we did think about it for a bit.😉
Actually really looking forward to that new game and blog series. But first, we've decided to finish the main campaign in Mechwarrior 5 Mercenaries. Originally we wanted to go through the entire campaign and then all the DLCs in one save, but frankly, the game doesn't really have enough staying power to put hundreds of hours into a single mega-playthrough like that. At least not for us.
Well anyway, i think that about covers us for today. So, until our next post (Production report for Filettatura di Scarto on friday!😉), stay safe, don't do pirouettes in a BMW X5, and have a good one!
